Android floating companion
Beta 0.5.4 — available to download for Android phones and tablets.
A website (even when installed) can't show a bubble over other apps. That needs a separate native Android app with your explicit permission. iPhone and iPad don't allow an equivalent floating bubble.
What it does
- A small, draggable pink SachBot bubble that snaps to a screen edge — shown only after you allow “Display over other apps” and turn it on.
- Tap the bubble: its mouth opens and a compact panel appears with Paste and Analyze. Close the panel, hide the bubble, or turn it off any time.
- Share text or a screenshot to SachBot from any app. Screenshots are read on your phone.
- Uses the same SachBot server as this website, over HTTPS. No AI keys are inside the app.
Permissions
- Display over other apps — to draw the bubble. Asked only when you turn the bubble on.
- Notifications (Android 13+) — shows the ongoing “SachBot is floating” notice with Hide / Turn off buttons.
- Internet — to send the text you choose to check.
What it will never do
- Read other apps' messages, use Accessibility Services to watch your screen, or capture screenshots on its own.

- Tap Download, then open the file. Android will ask to allow installs from your browser — allow it once.
- Open SachBot and tap “🫧 Float SachBot”. SachBot asks for each permission in turn (notifications, display over other apps, battery, and your phone brand’s floating-window/autostart screen) — allow each and press Back.
- The app goes to your home screen and the bubble appears at the screen edge — even after you close the app. Tap it for options, long-press it to check what you copied, and drag it to move.
